What leaves the device

Privacy-conscious design

Toldya reads message text already visible to you in Discord Web. That text, the channel ID, and your ignore-phrases are sent to the Toldya backend so the wording can be cleaned for speech. Language, voice, rate, and pitch stay on your device. Read the privacy policy for the full data flow.

For Discord server admins

Keep your community in the loop, out loud.

Choose the text channels Toldya can relay. Members can hear important messages and embedded alerts through the Toldya extension while they work, play, or step away from Discord.

Members need to use Toldya in Chrome for speech. Alerts are delivered through the Toldya app and extension, not played in Discord voice channels.

Another way to listen

Built for more than multitasking

Toldya can also help people who find fast-moving chat difficult to monitor visually. By reading selected new messages aloud, it can reduce the need to continuously watch Discord text.

Toldya is not a general-purpose screen reader and does not replace accessibility tools built into your browser or operating system.
